You should heat a frying pan on the stove very hot and sear both sides of your steak first. Then a 325 degree oven for 25-30 min if you have thick steaks, 1 to 1 1/2 inches, to get them to medium. Thinner steaks cut the time down to 20 min. I think your tenderness is going to come more from your meat quality and marinade. Hope this helps a little.

Okay, I don't know how thick your steaks are, so I'm going to give you instructions for a standard thickness which is 3/4 in. thick. First take the steaks out of the fridge and let them come to room temp. Move the oven rack, not to the top, but the next one down. Preheat your broiler at a high setting. Place the steaks on a cookie sheet, or jelly roll pan. Some flat pan with low sides. Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Put the steaks under the broiler. I would suggest broiling the steaks about 6 minutes per side for rare. Bon Apatite!

OK. You havn't said enough to completely assist you. What cut of steak is it? How thick? What temperature do you want it cooked. What did you marinate it in. Some marinades can make the meat tough if you soak them too long. If you cut into the meat right out of the oven it will loose all it's juice and get tough. Don't let if go cold but let it rest a bit.
Use the broiler on hi, that will give it a good char if you like, just be careful not to burn it to a cinder. Flip in once half way through. It could be 1-20 minutes, that just depends on how you ilke it. Bloody as hell or burnt to a crisp or somewhere in the middle.

Yes put the steak in a dish and slice an onion, add to the meat, put a few drops of water over the meat and cover the dish with foil. Cook in the oven on a low heat very slowly. The meat will come out tender every time and the onions will add flavour.

Turn the broiler on. When it is preheated, put the steak on an oven safe grilling pan about 5 inches below the flame or heating element. Depending on the thickness of the steak, broil for 5 mins on each side.

Do you have a broiler? Broil for a few minutes each side to desired doneness. If your steaks are the tough variety, use a swiss steak recipe and bake them in a sauce, either tomato or broth.

Rub a bit of olive oil on some tin foil and wrap the steaks individually. Put them on a tray and bake at moderate temperature for about 20 mins then turn them over and do for another 10.
They'll be soft and tender as.
