I and my brother and sister want to try homeschooling, but so far have found nothing we can afford and few that we even liked. We're really looking for programs that send us the work that we complete and send back to get graded. We would really appreciate any information given to us. Thanks

Since accredited programs are usually not cheap, why not reconsider whether you really need an accredited program?

Normally you'll need good grades and some good SAT test scores to get into college. Many homeschoolers do this with out an accredited diploma.

Check with your local homeschooling (state wide) support group. If you search for "homeschooling in __" , (your state), you'll find it.

A lot of that depends on where you are and what grades you and your siblings are in. It is possible that your state has a free "public homeschooling" program - usually run through k12 or Connections Academy.

You can check here to see if your state has a k12 program:
http://www.k12.com/options/

Or this: http://www.connectionsacademy.com/default.asp
for Connections. (There's a search box in the upper right-hand corner.)

There's also http://www.flvs.net/index.php - Florida Virtual School. It's free for all Floridians, but there is tuition for out-of-state families.

Beyond that, there are other sites that provide on-line schooling, but they can range in price from a few hundred dollars to over a thousand per year in tuition.

my parents homeschool me with some CHC something. They teach with christian curriculum, its :

CHC Private Schools Inc., and Christian Home Schools Co-ops

It's great, you just let your kid finish work in thier books week by week, and when they are done, you give them a test. Then you mail in the test results. You get to pick your own times and everything, and they even have someone that you can call. Sorry though, i don't remember the website. Good Luck
