I went to Olive Garden the other day and had the soup, salad and breadsticks for lunch and the guy rambled off some Italian soup names... I said "The last one.." and he brought me the best soup I've ever had. It had beans and beef in it... Hell if I know what it's called though.

Has to be Won Ton Soup because once when I was stuck out on the road in a terrible rain storm with my daughter we had bought some. It was nice and hot.Nothing like being out in cold weather and having good hot soup.

Italian wedding soup is the best for cold weather. It has spinach, chicken broth, little homemade meatballs, and pasta. Mmmmm.

nothing like a good ole split pea soup. you can make it in an hour or two. you've got most of the ingredients in your fridge and you can freeze it for later consumption. always hit's the spot. a dash of sour cream or sherry never hurts.

I like to make a simple vegetable in beef broth soup. Has to be home made. (o.k. - I do use store bought broth)

Include leeks (a must for flavor), carrots, celery, potato, & whatever vegetable you like. add some noodles or rice too if you want, but not too much.

another GREATone....

every year after Thankgiving, my wife makes the best turkey soup with the leftovers. in this case, she -does- make the broth. Outstanding.
