The very basic equipment a volleyball player needs in their closet are a shirt, a pair of shorts (or spandex if you prefer girls) and a good pair of court shoes so you don't break your ankle. Knee pads and unnecessarily long socks are always an option if you enjoy the feeling of a midget clinging to your leg for an entire game. A ball is always handy to bring around with you just in case there is volleyball to be played.

Usually a player provides their own shoes, socks (sometimes), knee pads (sometimes). The team (if a school) provides all else.

I play now (after college) and I have shoes and a couple of indoor balls, and an outdoor ball. I play all year round. I don't wear knee pads because I found I move better (and more) without them - I tend to get lazy and go to my knees too quickly when I wear them.

ok...first of all...pay interest to the ball....even if if it is no longer coming your way, because you under no circumstances understand if the ball WILL come flying your way. when you're interior the front row, rather interior the midsection, if it is going over your head, purely duck, so the guy in the back of you would keep in mind that you at the prompt are not getting the ball. flow it!! flow for the ball, do not purely stay a statue. Bend you knees! continually call the ball, when you're going for it!! i do not imagine all of us would want to collide into someone, in the experience that they both went for the ball. don't be a ball hogger. I have this woman in my type and through well being club type, she is going in all places, and under no circumstances provides all of us else on the crew a probability to get the ball, as a results of the undeniable fact that woman purely gained't purely stay at her spot. continually have a good concepts-set, and robust sportsmanship, cheer the others on!! i wish this helps, and robust success on your attempt-outs! i wish you're making it :]

well you need a court, net, and ball to play on and for each player you need kneepads, high-socks (which are optional), and volleyball or tennis shoes
