Hi there. Your message isn't clear, but I'll try to help you. Most rescued dogs are from homes that neglect and or abuse their pets.Call the people that you gave the dog to. It may be possible to obtain the dog depending on what conditions the dog was found. They will place him in a home prepared to take care of him well. Perhaps, giving him up, you gave him a wonderful life. We don't always have the time and cannot provide for our pets. Perhaps, thinking about the dog's needs will help you know that giving him up was the best choice possible. You did the right thing. Now, fill that void you feel. Get engaged with productive activities that benefit you and others. We forgive you. It's time to forgive yourself. Have an enlightening year.

I've been in your shoes before. I had to give up a dog that was very dear to me, and the very next day I wished I had never given her up. I regretted it for a year, but had to face the facts that no matter what, I could not have kept the dog (was in the middle of a really messy divorce). I know she has a really great home with a friend and is well cared for. Now that I know more about dogs, I'm able to care for them a lot better, and I'm able to pick a dog that suits my life better. My current puppy, though no replacement for the old one, is a fantastic match, and while I still miss my old dog, I know she's happy where she's at.

Why did you give the puppy up in the first place? Was it because he was just too much to handle? You might be better off adopting an older dog (much easier to care for). Even if you bring the puppy back, the old problems will still be there, and you'll have to deal with them.

If you can deal with the problems that caused you to give the puppy up in the first place, maybe you can talk to the rescue and explain that it was a mistake and ask them to give you a second chance.

There are so many homeless dogs out there, that losing this one is no reason to hurt yourself over. Instead of having this puppy, take all that energy, and use it to rescue a needy dog from the pound. That way, you will be saving a life, and there's no better thing than that!

I don't think you should try to get him back. The rescue will find a good home for him. Let them do that. I know it hurts to not have him around, but it is okay. Put you energies into something else. You will feel better. If you really feel like you want to kill yourself, then please call someone who can help you. It is not you giving up the husky that is causing this. It is something greater. You must get some help. If you don't know where to turn, then call a suicide hotline. They will talk with you about your sad feeling. They will be a big help. Promise.

Wanting to kill yourself wont help the dog!
Call the rescue and convince them you have the right stuff to help get the dog back. I have a rescued greyhound and unfortunately you can't save them all , that's the saddest thought to face.

go to the place you returned him, see if he is still there, fill out another ap, and talk with the rescue league. tell them how you feel, but don't tell them you want to kill yourself, that will only show you are unstabe, good luck.
