I was married in October and this is why: for me personally I LOVE fall and my hubby does too. I wanted navy blue and yellow for my colors and navy is a cooler month color for wedding dresses. But we wanted an outdoor wedding so October was still nice enough in new york. I think for anyone picking their wedding month, it should be a time of the year you enjoy, cuz weddings are sressful as well as wonderful and if you hate summer, the heat, humidity, etc., you won't be any happier stuffed in a dress and trying to be beautiful when you are not comfortable to begin with. Also, if you are going somewhere tropical for honeymoon, summer would be really hot so fall or winter might be better if you are wanting to escape the heat, Maine or Vermont in the summer for a cooler respite. Fun question to answer and made me reminisce about my special day :)

I went through everyones answers, and most months and seasons were spoken for, except for February really. March didn't really get too many votes either. I know here in Canada, the summer months (June, July and August) are extreeeeemly popular for weddings. I had intended on mid August, but changed it to mid September. It could potentially be snowing here in October, lol. But who knows with this weather! In any event, I say August-September. Not right in the heat of the summer, but as it dwindles down... Nice way to end a summer. :)

Early spring was the idea, May-ish actually. But we decided we didn't want to wait until May so we went with March. A plus, however, is that it's a cheaper month to get married in rather than May. So I'm able to have a the wedding I want & save some cash.

My parents got married in the Phil. in December. Nice weather because it's opposite what winter was. I went to a wedding (a huge one ) this past June (summer). I like spring weddings cuz then your garden will blossom!

October! Its such a melancholic month, its pretty that way. Its real. If you look out the window in that month its like the earth is showing all its emotions, like they are right there in the wind, like if you listen close enough you can hear it speak. Lol. Makes sense? Just seems like a genuine month, not bs, only the truth.

I had always wanted to get married in winter, with lots of snow, etc. Wanted to have a fur-outlined cape over a gown.
However, got married on a day hotter than hell in July.

I would like to be married in the spring because it's when everything is in bloom. So, being married in the spring, it's like a new beginning.
