I think 13 because its good for kids to learn and experience dating and prepares and helps them maintain the habit of keeping relationships, and when they have a break-up they can see what went wrong, and make sure to not make that mistake again which increases the childs chances of not breaking up in further relationships, or even marriage down the road. Its a fun social thing, and can be a good form of bonding and can produce happiness if the event is enjoyed by the child. As long as the children are not viewing innapropriate content, and are in/provided a safe environment and are well educated about sexual contreceptions and the diseases that can be contracted by acts of sex at a young age, There is absolutly NO problem with dating at a fairly young age.
I think parents can be over protected and allow a child some freedom so they can also develop a natural sense of responsibility.

I think 16 is ok, with restrictions. Curfews, knowing where they are going on a date, that kind of stuff. 12 is way to young!!! Boys now a days are thinking about sex so young, and so are girls. And for your friends that said no dating until marriage, they will have a very hard time with their kids, because, they want way to much control over their children. That is just silly to make that kind of rule. Dating with friends, and going on double dates and stuff I think is ok when you are 14-15 age group, again as long as the parents are totally aware of what is going on, and then maybe a little more freedom, more and more, with age, and the child proving that they can be trusted and be responsible.

Your right about that! Kids can start dating at about 16 years old. Any earlier than that and it's just silly puppy love. Honestly you shouldn't start seriously dating until you can be emotianlly responsible and ready for other consequences that come fromthings related to dating, like sex.

16,17,18,or 19.
depending on how mature they act 4 their age.
If they act their shoe size instead of their age,
they shouldn't date til they're mature enough.
I started dating @ 11 yrs old I wnet through 3
divorces in my life time.
1 @ 11 1/2, 1 @ 13,& 1@17.

Hmm. Depends on the maturity of the kid(s).
But for the most part, I'd say high school.

kids should never date, now maybe 17-18 year old teenagers should, the problem with dating any younger is experiencing heart break at too young of an age is pretty devistating for kids.

It depends on their environment and upbringing, but I believe that children should not date until they are ready to face the consequence of a broken heart. It defiantly depends on the person.
