There is subtle difference between renewable and inexhaustible resource of energy. In fact, all energy resources need to be viewed by plotting its current relative position on its 'production rate' (y axis) and 'consumption rate' (x axis). The plot corresponding to a straight line at 45 degree angle will ascribe to that source of energy a status of just 'renewable'. Solar energy, by that argument' is nearly 'inexhaustible' because its relative position will be on the other side of straight line (of no worries) i.e. closely inclined to y axis.
Alas! by cutting trees recklessly (not to talk of planting more) the consumers have bent the wood energy resource almost very close to x-axis. There may be some other sources like that but society should be worrying about renewable status of wood energy alarmingly.

They say the tropical rainforests in Brazil have been steadily on the retreat for years as they are cut down to support temporary agricultural activities. The ranchers then slash, burn and move on further when the soil craps out.

[ 1 ]Our lakes, streams and water ways [ 2 ] Our forest - We need to develop and preserve more green ways [ 3 ]The air- we need to develop non-polluting energy systems.
[ 4 ] Cleaner , Safer drinking water-We need to figure better ways to fertilize our crops instead of using sprays and chemicals that seep into our underground water supply. Water run off from our cities streets and roadways needs to be cleaned before it returns to our rivers and streams.

Dodo birds
Steller's sea cow
Passenger pigeons
If Dodos hadn't been exterminated, we might be finding them in the supermarkets instead of overbred turkeys.
