I think the software has already been developed and used. It enables a Muslim astronaut to orient his prayers toward Mecca when he is in orbit.

People who travel space don't worship the sky. I hope religion will be almost non-existent when we start colonizing space on a larger scale.
The development of such software would be a waste of time.
