what should i do!!

i went to the denttist to get my filling...they told me they cant..the reason is because of my braces...the catity is between my teeth..in order to do that they have to put my something between my teeth....i didnt the filling bc of my braces made my teeth close together that they cant do the filling...im getting mine offf in 2 years!!!

I think that fixing the cavity is more important than getting your teeth straight. Of course, you'll have to do whatever the dentist says. Maybe they could take the wire off of your braces for about a week and in the mean time, put a spacer between your teeth. Then they can fix the cavity and you can get the wire put back on.

I have heard of them taking the bracket off they need to get to the tooth. I don't believe it's good to wait on a cavity, because people's progression rates are different. You can have it go in ever so often and have an x- ray taken to make sure it doesn't get any bigger. I definitely wouldn't wait 2 years, by then you'd need a root canal!

Depends how big the cavity is. I guess the dentist knows what he is saying. Every second person seems to be wearing braces these days. :)

thats bull. they can take the arch wire off, take the bracket off the one tooth, drill it, fill it, and send you back to your orthodontist to have the bracket re-bonded and the archwire put back in. get a second opinion. and tell them what i told you.
