It's a symbolic story of man losing his innocence because of knowledge. Adam and Eve represents childhood and the Garden of Eden represents sanctuary from the harsh reality of life that only comes from naivety. Once they are exiled, they become lost from leaving their past. The desolation they've ignored has now become their home and are forced to confront the real world as do all of us as we come-of-age.

I've often times ask that same question. But He has another plan in place, one that is better and perfect and if we just allow it to happen in His time we will be happier than trying to second guess HIm. Once we consider He made a mistake then the outcome of our thought is never good. He doesn't make mistakes. Even Einstein said that God dose not play with Dice.

Then that wouldn't be very fair, would it? You see God is all about LOVE. This earth is the place where the war between good and evil is to take place (Ephesians 6:12). If God cut it short right then and there, then Satan would claim that God was not fair and just.

Ever since Jesus died on the cross (John 3:16), the war has been won. We are just dealing with the small battles right now. Jesus is coming very soon to claim those who are His, to Himself.

So, ask yourself the question, are you His?

Because the issue of God's sovereignty or right to rule over his creation had to be settled once and for all. To start over would have proved nothing. Don't forget, he had millions of angelic Sons who would always have doubts if he did not settle the issue not to mention that he cannot deny his own justice.

He did start over, according to St. Paul's teaching about the new man - the Christ figure replacing the beta version, the Adam.

Because he had created Adam and Eve from himself, they were his 2 first children. Even with Noah, he still kept Noah and his family, he didn't wipe out humanity entirely. We are all his children. God doesn't just scrap us up and start over everytime we sin

Fortunately for us, God is an artistic genius, and doesn't cave just because He runs up against a challenge. Why scrap what you can make into something better?

They ate (assimilated or consumed knowledge) from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Satan).

That's why God said;

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

We all must eat (assimilate or consume knowledge) of the tree of life (Jesus Christ), to live for ever.

with out bad there can be no good.......

or a different way to look at it is if they didn't discover "evil" then something else would be bad, there is just a lesser degree of bad, you have to admit the world as a whole could be a whole lot worse, in good and bad terms
