Get a tube of Clean and Clear Daily Pore Cleanser- it worked for my brother. Just say, "Mom, I have some zits on my back I'd like to get rid of." Trust me, she won't behead you if you have some acne. She'll understand: the vast majority of the population gets it at some time or another. She'll be happy that you want to do something to correct the problem.

Tell her. Even if your mom never had an acne problem, I guarantee she will understand. And it's not like having pimples is something to be ashamed of! It's so normal.

There are a couple of good acne preventing body washes out there that might help.

Another vote for yes, tell your mom. Acne is a part of growing up for a lot of us and there are lots of over the counter products that work (like Proactiv and AcneFree) and if those don't work, your doctor can help. But I'm sure it doesn't make you feel good knowing you have the pimples...and your mom would feel bad to know you feel bad! So tell her!

Tell your mom (I know it's hard)... My son had the same problem and what worked for him was this item called "Nature's Cure". It's a herbal supplement and they actually have treatment for back acne too. It can't hurt to try. Either way, do tell your mom.

well i think you should. i have spots and rashes on my back all the time and every time i get it i show my mom and she gives me aqueous cream or e45. it goes away in a day or two. however, it depends what age you are. i am 13, so do not have any hair there yet. but if you are like i dno, 16, then you probably have underarm hair, which can be very embarrassing to show for the first time.

Acne is common on chest and back. Your lucky, you can hide yours. Yes, let her know. I'm sure she has had friends with the same 'growing up' problems. Plus, she can buy the medicine....lucky you.

i have acne on my back, chest, and face and nothing, i mean NOTHING, has worked better except for Lever soap. i have tried proactiv, dermatoligist recommened medicine, and other things. i wood say try washing you chest and back with a bar of soap (lever if you have it) and if it doesnt clear up within 2-3 weeks, consult your mom.

There is nothing to be scared about. It is not your fault that you have this problem. The products in the drugstore may not work so ask if you can go to see a dermatologist. He will help you.

Don't be afriad to talk to you mom or dad about a health issue. She may want you to go to see a doctor that specializes in skin treatments.

She is your mother and will do anything she can to help you. I would just say, "mom I'm getting some acne on my back that is bothering me, can you help me find something to clear it up?"
