In the 2000 years since Jesus died, Christians have:
Beheaded, burnt at the stake, hanged, murdered, waged war and indiscriminately slaughtered men, women and children even as they waved the white flag of surrender!
In the “Name of God”, Christians have:
Stretched bodies on the rack, hung bodies from their limbs, made people think they were drowning by torturing with water, physically mutilated both living and dead as well as sexually mutilating dead women and raping the living.
Believing it was God’s will, Christians have:
Flogged, robbed, burnt homes, driven peoples from their lands, taken children from their parents, split families and sold into slavery both professing Christians as well as pagans.
While proclaiming to be Christians, they have:
Repressed, ridiculed, kept illiterate and in poverty, enslaved, worked to death, starved, initiated hate crimes, terrorized, imprisoned and perverted justice.
abuse of power or in the name of god?

Wow, you know all the sins of others what about your own. Every man/woman will stand before God and face judgement. Stop worrying about others and take care of your own soul. When you stand before God, He will be thinking of you and your sins, not the sins of others. I suppose atheists are just a bunch of good old boys. Sorry I don't have the stats on the crimes that they have committed. I guess I have a life.

When we are childish, we naturally critcize each other due to lack of knowledge; when we become mature, we willingly learn to reduce our ignorance and praise other people for their amazing achievements .
The human race also passes through various ages like an individual. And we are happy to be informed by the Messengers of the One True God that mankind are entering the age of maturity after 6000 years of training in the Adamic Cycle. Previous Cycles were lost in the ups and downs of this world.
We are now living in the Baha'i Cycle which will last at least 5000 centuries. The study of the Holy Books will enable us to find out more interesting details of this glorious Day, the Day of God.

In the 2000 years since Jesus died, Christians have:
Built hospitals, hospices, and orphanages. Run schools, promoted education, and pioneered teaching methods. Contributed immeasurably to literature, theater, music, and the other arts.
In the Name of God, Christians have:
Organized food and clothing banks, run homeless shelters, helped during times of disaster and tragedy, sponsored and volunteered at soup kitchens, and given countless millions of dollars to help people they've never seen and will never meet.
Believing it was God's Will, they have:
Given of their time, money, and love to help others in need. Worked tirelessly to make their communities a better place for all by fund raising, volunteering, and opening their hearts to others in need.
While proclaiming to be Christians, they have:
Fed the hungry, visited and consoled the imprisoned, cared for the dying, stood up for the disenfranchised, comforted the lonely, and worked to see that injustice is righted.
Love and compassion, in the Name of God.

What a load of crap. The Christian death toll from the witch hunts, Crusades (acts of war in response to Muslim aggression), and heresy hunts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance total approximately 800,000 people. All of these atrocities were perpetrated by western European governments who represented only 15% of the Christian population in Western Europe, at a time when the majority of Christians lived in Russia, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, Mesopotamia, Persia, India, and North Africa. At the dawn of the Crusades there were more Christians in Iraq than in all other nations combined.
The death toll of Atheist regimes agains their own people in the 20th century is over 180,000,000 (by conservative estimates). And that is not counting euthanasia, suicide, or acts of war.
Get your facts straight and stop spouting socialist propaganda.

Good observation, Yes it is abuse in the name of God. Are you aware of all the people who take children away from parents and the judges that allow it to happen, all in the name of God and they so called right religion. All the lying, cheating and bearing of false witness all because either grandparents or siblings get close to kids and turn them against their parents and then find corrupt courts and judges to help them.

All things I have also pointed out in other discussions promoting Christianism and God Believing postings.
These dopes are like the Ostrich, stick their head in the sand and avoid the truth of History in the name of the book of fables known as the Bible
