My teeth aren't yellow or anything, but they're not pearly whites. I really want to have super white teeth but I have braces, so I can't get whitening or use Crest Whitestrips or anything. I brush atleast twice a day, usually three or four times though. I use mouthwash, and floss. But my teeth still aren't really white. Any advice to make them whiter?

If you get blue o-ties, your teeth will appear whiter. Get bright colors and steer clear of yellow, orange and other colors with a yellowish appearance.

Use the same trick with your lip gloss/lipstick. Use colors with a neutral or cool undertone. Stay away from warm colors that contain an orangish tint.

The ingredients in whitening can harm your braces. You best bet: whitening tootpastes because they have a lower % of active ingredients. Also, to wait until your braces are off. Since you sometimes brush your teeth 4 times a day beware to brush gently or you can wear out your gums and your smile will be too "toothy" good luck!

I asked my ortho. the same question when I had my braces and she told me there was nothing I could do to make them whiter while my braces were on. Sorry.

But I will tell you what you eat and drink affects the color of your teeth- like chocolate dulls your teeth color.

Listerine makes a whitening pre-brush rinse now that I'm really liking. It's easy, and it seems to work pretty well.

Do not drink a lot of soda or iced tea because they stain your teeth!
