I've never acually fought but I used to do boxing workouts with a golden gloves winner who trained Evander Holyfield. He put me on a strict low carb diet. No bread or starch or sugar and definitely no beer ever. Eat plenty of vegetables and protein. It worked really well for me.

I'm assuming you want to fight at 132 or 141 which are both good for a 5-9 height. If you've been training for 4 months with a trainer and haven't lost any weight 2 things might have happened, 1 you aren't training hard enough or 2 your trainer isn't pushing you hard enough. There are a few ways you can do this, but the main way is less calories in and more training is the main recipe. If you train in a gym I would recomend a plastic sweatsuit over cotton sweatsuit. Bring a change of clothes cause your sweats will be drenched. At least 4-3 minute rounds skipping going through the 1 minute break, and up your roadwork, and of course check with your doctor to make sure your heart and body in general can handle all this stress you will be putting on your body. Good Luck

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Finest way to get massively fit is to learn how to skip properly and do loads of it. The greatest way to build up a sweat, is to exercise the legs in the gym i.e. leg curls, leg extensions etc. Quite apart from boxing skills, strong legs are a must for every boxer. They are your anchor. The X - Trainer is a brilliant way to lose weight but only by using it in short intense bursts, i.e. 1 minute on full blast and 30 seconds wind down then straight into the next 1 minute period, and so on. Apart from all that you need a good sensible diet, watch the portion sizes and drink at least 2 litres of still water over the course of every day. All that's required then is dedication and will power.

Diet fitness is all about an accurate mix of
diet and an appropriate fitness program.

This basically includes three levels of consideration:

1. Balance-A balanced diet must contain carbohydrate, protein,
fat, vitamin, mineral salts and fiber in well proportionate
quantity. Carbohydrates are the source of energy so these play
an important role in balanced diet. Intentional inclusion of all
foods from fruits to vegetables and meats to grains.

2. Moderation- portion control, small quantity at regular
intervals. I had to laugh when I heard the results of a 5-year
study costing millions of dollars the government ran to find out
why the population of the US is getting heavier. The
results…they determined we eat larger quantities! 'Super Size
it!'

3. Variation - wide variety in foods, means higher chances of
complete nutrition. And variety in your workout routine means a
greter chance of sustaining it.

It is a well-known fact that poor diet leads to diseases, like
obesity, even cancer and heart disease. The link between diet
and physical fitness has well been established and recognized as
a science in itself. It's the basis of dynamic and creative
intellectual activity. How do you balance diet and fitness?
What changes in your diet and fitness regimes will prove to be
the most beneficial ones?

These questions may have been on your mind for a long time but
you didn't know where to start. I let the paralysis of analysis
prevent me from getting started for a long time. I wanted the
'perfect' fitness plan. My advice? Just get started anywhere,
but get started. There are the solutions at your doorstep. First
and foremost, you need to ensure that the diet you are on,
supplies you enough strength and energy to carry out the fitness
training which means:

The basic fitness diet should:

1. Have a wide variety of foods-- wholegrain breads and cereals
for vitamins and minerals, leafy green vegetables for iron
fueling, fruit for adequate fiber, lean meat and Fish (lowers
cholesterol and helps prevent cancer) and low fat dairy
products.

2. Enable you to have optimal weight and energy to carry out
daily activities with ease.

3. Enhance quick and complete recovery during exercise.

4. Supply enough fluids to have maximum hydration. 5. Provide
both short and long term benefits and ease of maintenance.

When the above criterion is satisfied, you can confirm that you
are on a diet that is not starving you or running you the risk
of malnutrition and weakness. Fitness programs can include not
only basic gymnasium but modern techniques like dancing,
aerobics and yoga for variety and fun. If it is enjoyable it
will be easier to maintain.

Make no mistake about it, fitness regimes help you speed up the
process of loosing weight along with the diet. That is the key,
the magic diet accelerator. So eat healthy, exercise and be wise!

Yeah i don't think you should loose no 30 pounds. Maybe 10 at the most. Jump rope and ron. Thats about all i can tell you. Maybe get a sweat suit you can get them off of Everlast.com. Or put black garbage bags on under your clothes with a hoody and sweat pants on. Then run or jump rope. That'll gurantee you to shed some pounds.

5'9"/ 165 seems about right for height to weight ratio. i doubt you can lose 30 lbs, maybe 5 or 10, but 5'9"/ 135 seems like a strong wind would blow you away.

Are you the right construct to classification as an excellent light-weight?? I mean at your top and modern-day weight - you would might want to be a quite overweight with a mild body .. one hundred thirty 5 lbs is extremely mild.. has your coach/coach approved this?

I box as well. First I would tell you to double check your diet. Meaning you may have to change it. Cardio, if you want to lose that weight you need to be running your *** off, literally. Run as much as you can, dont eat befor bed, Steamed vegetables!
