According to a Christian News Medium (Exodus International) a bill is winding it's way through Congress that will silence the churches on this very topic. They have labled teaching against it as Hate Speech. Homosexuality is classified the same as adultery and fornication, they are reprobate according to Romans 1. See Revelation 9:21
Start calling and faxing, it is a violation of Your Free Speech and abridging your religious Freedom. Who and what would be next? See: Daniel 11:37 and especially 2nd Kings23:7, it was in fact a sacrament and see what King Josiah did!

The Lord be with you.
For the record, three different reasons are given for the destruction of S & G in the Bible. An equally likely one is for the violation of the sacred N.Eastern code of hospitality.
The Bible's severe restrictions on divorce and remarriage as adultery have completely disappeared. Divorced clergy are accepted readily, if not entirely comfortably.
I am personally uncomfortable w/ homosexuality. I also realize that neither homosexuals or heterosexuals are saved by sexual orientation. Jesus alone is the path for sinners - however society may or may not define sin.

well most that i know still think it is wrong. we dont accept the act we accept the people. just like we are to love everyone even our enemy. however we dont have to love or even like there actions or what they do just them as a person.
that is not to say there are some churches out there who say it is ok now. because there are some that are being more like the world. we are not to judge however.
Jam 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
if we become of this world we are an enemy to God. the Bible says we in this world but not of this world and as christians we need to not do worldy things.
but so many churches are starting to say things are ok just because they dont want to loose all there people. most pastors get paid from tithes. so if they say it is ok to do whatever then anyone can go to there church and most people like that. they say cool i can do what i want to. play those video games watch those shows or whatever and still be saved.
but we are not to be of this world but different. just like so many christians are now incorporating evolution with there beliefs. saying that God created everything but then animals did evolve and stuff. or saying the earth is millions of years old and not 6000 years old.
i stand with my belief. why i got rid of video games and tv. living for God is a huge blessing. and not hard at all.
and they never proven that homosexuality is something brought at birth. they think some are born that way but not for sure. i just believe it is satan. and anything is possible if you believe. there have been many people who claimed they were born gay or whatever and were prayed over and are not married and not gay.
what makes us different is yes we all sin. that is why we asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins. however as christians we are also to repent from our sins. that is to turn away from. i am not saying someone who is gay cant be saved. and that is between them and God. if they get a conviction then they would turn there life around. if they dont they will cont. to live how they want.

Not that I am endorsing homosexuality, but here are some things to consider. First, in OT, homosexuality is prohibitted along with any other behavior that could be used to form a pact with the Canaanites. Homosexuality was a sacrament among the Canaanites, as were the other 'abominations' like eating 'unclean' foods. In the NT, homosexuality is condemned as a form of temple prostitution among the inhabitants of ancient Syria. None of these verses, in context, point to a direct condemnation of homosexuality per se. And, considering the prominence of homosexuality in ancient Greco-Roman culture, it seems like the authors of the New Testament would have been more clear in their denunciation.
Again, I'm not endorsing homosexuality. But I am interested in interpreting Scripture accurately.

Because many denominations today put a focus on getting people into the church instead of preaching the gospel. The word sin has become a bad word in the eyes of many churches. They preach God is Love and nothing but Love. God is also a God of Judgement. It is in my opinion that Satan has deceived many in the church with all the translations of the Bible. There are only two word for word translations I'm aware of and that is the King James Version and the New American Standard.

God is not a person who has likes and dislikes. God is the power of LOVE . The God in the Bible is a representation of man's fears, so the question is why did the PEOPLE of that time decide that Homo-sex was not to be practiced? And why has MAN now decided that H-S is all right?

The Jesus of scripture was openly gay, enjoyed it, and at that time, no one said or thought anything about it. Are you saying that God detested Jesus ? I wonder where this is going to lead you...
Homophobia is a very recent mental disease that did not exist in the past.
Soddom and Gomorah were not destroyed because of homosexuality. I suggest you do a little more unbiased research.

Maybe they're moving with the times. And those not should stay home on sundays and sacrifice a small goat for the sin of wearing clothes made from two different types of cloth. Make sure your slaves don't plant different crops next to each other and whatever you do do not each shrimp, for the Bible calls them an "Abomination".
These people are trying to keep their religion despite it being bigoted and hateful, maybe you should look to them as an example.

God detest all sin, including gossip, gluttony, the little ones that we hide. Christ died for the sin of all people. How about people who have sex before marriage or remarriage. God hates divorce too. Sounds to me that not too many people are going to Heaven. What was the point of Christ's death?

Many interpret the sins of the Sodomites to be rape and other things, not consensual relationships. It's interpretation. Their interpretation is different.
You may think that's weird, but think about it:
If the religious authorities at one time did not want people to be gay(which they didn't), could they have preached the anti-homosexual interpretation of it, and it got passed down, just like abuse from father to son?
