Are you looking to raise money for an existing charity or something you will be starting up?
Usually a charity will have a link on their website or a phone number you can call to obtain a packet full of information on how to go about fundraising!

I used to run charity races all the time. Red Cross always have em as does Make a Wish, Hospitals.....I could go on and on.

Anybody can organize a charitable event. How well you organize it determines how much money you'll earn and how seriously people will take you. It always helps to collaborate with the charity you want to help so that you'll have some validity. good luck!
