I think it depends on the couple and their relationship. It happens. My aunt and uncle have been together since they were in 8th grade. They are in their mid 50's and have a very strong marriage. Two of my bestfriends from highschool got together when he was 16 and she 17 and have been together ever since, they also have a very strong relationship and i suspect that part of there luck is the fact that they are the only people either has slept with. It also seems like everytime i turn around i bump into another couple that had been together in high school but had broken up and are now back together after not having seen each other for 6 or 7 years... a few of these couples have even gotten married recently.
I think it's hard, especially in this day and age, for a couple so young to know exactly what it is they want and stick together, but i've seen it happen and think it's wonderful when it does. good luck. but don't get your hopes too high, most highschool relationships still fade or are broken up by going away to college or seeking different paths after highschool or just by the everday temptations of someone else in shool. The important part is that you love that person with all your strength and try to make it work, if it doesn't, part ways amicably because i guarentee you will always think about your first love and you want to remember it as something special not something ugly.

I have the same question!!
To me I really hope high school sweethearts will stay together. Because I'm in that same situation. But I think you do have to go out and experence life. I know that I will have to, and that he will to, in my case. But I hope we are able to stay together.
And I do know some people that were high school sweethearts and they are happily married. So yes, I believe you can stay together.

If they both really like each other than yeah! Even if they go to the same college and are still together, they'll probably get marred. Probably. 0_o
