You aught to know you sound anti-intellectual to me.

Every day is a Holy Day of Bashing, for Christians who neglected to study the Bible books written to Timothy:
1 Timothy 6:20-21 "Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge. Some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness. May God’s grace be with you all."
To me, the only "sad" part of the whole evolution argument is... No One knows except God Himself, who did the creative work. Yet people of ignorance on both sides of the argument for/against evolution are taking it personally that the other side disagrees with them.
Someday, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Divine Creator, who flung the stars into space and caused things to be set in motion the way they were. But we are not going to face Him and say, "this is how it was done." Likely, we will face Him and say, "erg... umm... so how was it done again?" God is the only One who was there when it happened.
Perhaps His creative process resembled the scientific version of evolution in some way. Perhaps it didn't. One can say, "but the Bible says it happened in 7 days." One can also say "a day with the Lord is as a thousand years." One can also say "why care about what the Bible says anyway." It is not worth the time spent arguing, when neither side can scientifically prove anything. However, the Institute for Creation Research is the place to look if you ever do want to see the best Christian arguments for/against scientific theories. They do scientific research. Worth checking out, perhaps, if one cannot simply drop the arguing and move on to carrying the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
If we keep arguing about science, we might never get around to teaching the nations about Jesus. Science is a distraction. (And guess what... I am in the field of Science myself.) ;)

Yup. Its holy bash evolution day. Very sacred. Also known as free the brainwashed Sunday.
Maybe you should actually get out and discuss the issue of evolution instead of demonizing those who do not agree with you. Its a free country and a marketplace of ideas. Let's talk about it not insult each other.
Here's the debate: Did God create the universe or did nothing explode.

Things go in cycles around this forum -- one day, the bug up everyone's bustle is evolution, and another day it's Catholics. It just depends on who's around here on any given day and what they've been reading/watching. Or nipping or putting in their no-peace pipe.
And incidentally, I'm a Christian who grew up in a household that valued education, knowledge, and open-mindedness. Perhaps that's why I've never viewed science as an enemy.

Every Sunday.
I'm getting scared. Megachurches, Quixtar...the posts I read here and elsewhere by so many people. And they are having lots of children and they are on their little knees, too.
How can you reason with people who are so brainwashed?
Do you see any kind of help for them, anti-cult professionals, or similar? It's getting way out of hand.

I think the better question is why to so many so-called atheist hang on in a section called Religion and Spirituality? Since you do not believe in either of those things why are you here?
