and don't lie, because that's a sin too. And if you're going to say "we all continue sinning," that is not what the bible says, so evidently God disagrees

Good job! My answer is yes and no. Like every other human I have many issues(sin) in my life. The very first sin I repented of is fornication. I was addicted to sex, I'm a female and I admit that I was a whore, I've never been married. Sex was my major issue. The thing about sin is becoming not only aware of it but having a conscience about it.

We are human too, no matter what we believe. God made us that way and knows we sin, for He created us.

As far as saying God disagrees with "we all continue to sin". He also said "all have fallen short of the glory of God". And he forgave a perpetual sinner on the cross beside His, just because the man was truly repentant of that sin. We may not sin continually, but we do sin often. There is no way, as imperfect men & women, and mortals that we can escape sinning. It is in our nature, the fall in the garden caused this.

When I sin I ask for forgiveness, but I don't go out and sin intentionally either. I also try hard not to return to any sin I have ever done, when I am made aware it was a sin.

Repent, and sin no more. Yes that is the goal, but can anyone actually say they have done this? NO! I agree with you. However, if taken metaphorically, maybe it truly means "Go and sin no more" as in, "go your way now that you know you have sinned and sin that sin no more. I will show you if you sin, but if I do you must be truly repentant and strive with all your human might not to return to that sin which you have been informed was a sin."

There will always be debate about the Bible and what the scripture says, but what we must remember is that none of us are completely right in interpreting it, except for ourselves. This is because the Bible was not made for one man's interpretation alone. It was made in order to lead each man, by how the Lord reveals it to each man.

What a GREAT question!!! I LOVE how you added what you did about it that you believe. It will sprout many interesting answers I am sure.

Blessings & Peace!

Christ has the right to command that we "sin no more" and expect it! We on the same token are obligated to not sin since Jesus commands that we should be Holy as He is Holy (referring to His Father). This does not mean that we will be perfectly sinless each day for the Apostle John tells us that we need to keep on confessing our sins as we commit them and not to lie and say that we are not sinners. Christians are sinners saved by grace. However, you should be able to tell a real Christian by their fruit (general evidences of every day living) that they trully belong to Christ - as you know there are many wolves in sheep skin today.

Nope - I still sin. However, that does not give me license to sin. When I fall short of God's ideals, I get on my knees and ask forgiveness, then start all over. It's a learning and growing process and I will not be done until I stand in His presence.

We are continuing to sin. What seems to have confused you is that God views the Christian just as if he/she had never sinned because of what Jesus did on the cross.

And you know this because-----------? This is stated like a true ''holier than thou'' type person.

And, the word Bible is spelled with a ''B'', not ''b''. Please show some respect.
