By the "START" I have my quick buttons in a straight line.By the clock the 4 icons are in a block (hidden)(2 on top;2 below on 2nd line).The" time" is on one line and the date below on the 2nd toolbar.When running several programs 2-3 windows are on one line and the overflow goes on the second line.I've unlocked the toolbar and tried to fix it with no results.If I manage to get one side back to normal the other is still messed up.If it's of any help when I am clicking on the toolbar I see grey dotted lines by the "Start" which appear below each other. As you can see I am new to computers and a bit hard to use the proper terms when explaining my problem.Help!

Put your mouse over the top edge. It will turn into a double arrow. Then click and pull it all the way down to the bottom and let go. It should then be just a line along the bottom. Now pull it back up and it should stop at the normal size.
NOTE: If you right-click on the bar there is an option to lock it which will keep you from being able to move it.

go to the top of it and youll see a little arrow with 2 points on each end hold that there and drag down untill its small again.
