I need to create a powerpoint presentation but am having trouble creating a slide where the bullet points can be scrolled through on a single slide, one after the other, instead of being shown all at once when the slide pops up. I'm using Powerpoint 07', but advice on any version would help greatly.

Select the text window that you want to animate. Make sure the whole window is selected and not just the text. You can verify this by looking for the dots around the text. If the text is highlighted, you've selected the text. If the window was selected there will be white dots surrounding it.

Select Slide Show, Custom Animation. A task pane will pop up on the right side of your screen. Select Add Effect, Entrance, then select the effect that you desire. (hint: pick something not distracting like appear or fade).

Select On Click. If the text window was selected then you should be good to go. If the actual text was selected you need to perform one more step.

In the task pane you will see the animation listed. You should have a "1" next to the top line and then 2, 3, 4 and so on below it.

Select each line that does not have a mouse icon next to it. Then select On Click in the section above where you previously selected it before.

Good luck.
