Say if you have a boyfriend at school and you get online and flirt with other guys, yes, that is cheating. If you just chat from time to time with other guys online, no, that is not. It depends on the frequency and the content of the online conversation. If you tell the other person they are SEXY or HOT or something like that, then it is not good for your relationship. Same goes for your BF (If he is the one online saying things to other girls).
You mentioned having an "online BF". If you have never actually met this BF in person, then I don't see how you can have a serious relationship. You shouldn't put that on each other. It would make it really tough not to date other people that you can actually be with.

Depends on the person you are with. Are they jealous or do they feel comfortable enough for you to talk to others. As long as it dosen't cross the line. Can you be in control that much of yourself to not let it go that far?

I think if you are chatting or flirting with people online then perhaps you are lacking something in your current relationship and you are trying to fill the void.Maybe your boyfriend isn't giving you the attention you need.my friends girlfriend was chatting with this guy online she didn't think it was a big deal.Turns out the guy she was chatting with was her boyfriend.Apparently he didn't trust her so he set her up.They are broke up now.So the answer is if you truly love who you are with and don't want to lose him you might want to think before flirting with strangers online

Umm I'd say so. Just because it's on the internet and you can't see or touch the person doesn't make it right. It is still very wrong. If my boyfriend ever did anything close to that I would be very hurt and definetly call it cheating.

if you are in a relationship, yes. think of how you would feel if you found out your girlfriend or boyfriend were doing the same with someone else.

I have several guys I talk to online, but my boyfriend found out and is extremely jealous. I do not ever intend to meet them, so I don't consider it cheating. I think it's harmless to be flirtatious. And fun! It's definetly a touchy subject.

If your calling that person your "online bf" then yes, its a form of cheating...a very weak form though
