my 2year old staffy is in season does any one know how long it lasts please

Same as all breeds, seasons last around 3 weeks. She will bleed for around 10 days, then the discharge will lessen & go paler, this is the time she is most likely to be ready to mate. She will still be in season for around another 10 days. Because all b1tches are different it is safest to keep her away from all males for at least 3 weeks, 4 to be on the safe side. The 1st day of the season is counted from the 1st day you see blood. Some b1tches are very fastidious & you have to keep a careful eye on them or you might miss the first few days.

The whole season lasts roughly 4 weeks. The first 5-8 days is bleeding and days 11-14 is the days for getting pregnant. Your dog will still smell in season to male dogs for up to 4 weeks. Otherwise the bleeding only lasts approx. 8 days.

Most dogs are the same, and the season is pretty consistant among breeds.
Each *season* usually lasts for 3 weeks, and she will come into season twice a year.

well having just gone through this with three mastiff girlsI can honestly say that from start to finish it has been four weeks,the first few days was swelling of the vulva,the second stage was dark blood,third stage,watermelon red blood,then standing,and its just tailing off now,thankfully,

ps,its been a long four weeks,as we have male Mastiffs,that are used at stud,so as they have all had to be seperated because I do not want puppies this season,they have been panting heavily,whining,howling,etc,
and before any of you anti breeders out there start,yes they have been hip/elbow scored,etc,
