Patsy's or Lombardi's offers the classic NY Pizza at its best. BUT I highly recommend Bella Via in LIC (1 stop into Queens on 7 train) for the BEST pizza (coal oven, high quality toppings, thin crust, and gourmet types).
DO NOT GO TO DI FARA IN BROOKLYN!!! No matter what Citysearch, Zagats, etc says. The pizza is covered in extra oil, the place is unsanitary, and I got food poisoning there!

You should try Lombardi's pizza. It is the "first" Pizzeria in America, dating back to 1897. Here is the website: http://www.lombardispizza.com/
