I own a few DVDs that I would like to have copys of. Is it illegal to burn them for my own personal use? If not, how do you burn them? All the media players that I use for burning CDs don't have the option of burning DVDs. I would really like to know how to do it. Could you please help me!?!?

i don't know if it's legal, but

sonic RecordNow! works great.
you put in the dvd you want to burn, open the program, choose the tab that has the icon of two disc overlapping then choose the option 'exact copy' it copies the dvd into a temporary file then you put in a blank dvd and it burns the original dvd onto it

its hard to do if you aren't computer literate, but it is legal, you are allowed 1 copy of a dvd you own for personal use (basically a back up law). Look for software like anydvd to do the trick.
