Currently I'm just a freshman in high school, but I feel very strongly about becoming a Lutheran Pastor. I'm going to make it clear here that I am NOT asking for your opinions on female Pastors, please keep your comments to yourself. However, I would really appreciate any information you would be willing to provide on four plus year colleges & universities where I could aquire a degree in Theology. Please colleges & universities that are willing to give scholarships, and please give any information necessary on how to work towards obtaining a substantial scholarship. Thank you so much! Have a good day.

Location does not matter to me as long as it is within the United States.

You need to ask your Pastor. The people who answer here will tell you about the places that teach their own denomination. You do not want to be educated in an Baptist University, for example! Ask your pastor, ask your Bishop or call his office and ask the questions that you have asked here. That is the place to start. Also find out where they went to school. If you don't want to tell your pastor of your leanings just ask in a matter of fact way. "Where did you go to school? How was that? What other school are there in our Church? Etc. You could even ask to talk to him/her as an interview. Tell them it is something you are doing for school. Good Luck.

I have never seen a Harry Potter movie so I am not sure about that, but I an amateur and I study the Monotheistic not the Polytheistic religions, atleast for now. I may start on Polytheism one day. But I think everyone should study them and make their own choice, I am a big follower of Martin Luther, he was like this too. For a Priest to break away from the powerful Catholic church to start another denomination of Christianity at a time when you could be burned at the stake for not eating pork was mighty brave, selfless and impressive. Luther too felt people should be able to read their own Bible, but one should read more than just the Bible, there are many books that did not make it into the Bible or the Talmud and then you have the dead seas scrolls. It is very interesting to me anyway, and probably just a interesting as reading Harry Potter, this way I can make up my own mind if I believe in a God or a superior being or none at all, but I do believe in God.

Not sure I'm going to be much help here but I'm 26 and currently training to be a pastor too so I wanted to say "Go Girl!" anyway!
I'm at a really amazing evangelical theological college that is part of Oxford University in the UK (www.wycliffe.ox.ac.uk) and we do take people to do undergrad study... but it's out of the US so I'm guessing that doesn't help.
However I do have a friend in the states who's dad runs the equivelent over in there. I don't know what it's called but his sir name is Paul Zaal so you could look for it on line if you want.
He's really into Luther and has written a lot of books on it so I'm guessing he might be useful for your denomination - he might even be Lutheren!
Hope it all works out well for you!
I've got an article that's just come out in Christianity Magazine - (the UK version of Christianity Today) - that's partly about younger people responding to the call to become ministers
Google "Christianity Magazine, Hope for the C of E?" if you're interested!

I would say find a Confessional Lutheran seminary to attend, so that you don't get indoctrinated with Liberal Protestant Theology, Liberation Theology and Feminist Theology. But in your case that would be impossible to gain admission to a Confessional Lutheran Seminary. I would suggest looking up the Seminaries at
Lutheran Theological Seminary (Gettysburg)
Capital University
Wartburg Theological Seminary
Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (Columbia)
I am sure the ELCA has more seminaries than these. These were the ones I remember when I was affiliated with the ELCA. My grandfather and mother's family all attended Capital University in Columbus Ohio. Since you appear to be looking for a college, I would suggest giving them a look.

Why in the world would you want a degree in Theology? I am sure that you are aware that the world has enough people living in ivory towers that are little use to God as it is. Granted, many "good" theologians exist who teach God's people a more accurate way - and one thing we need today is good teaching.
Also, if your desire is to become a pastor, please let me know - this is a different direction.
What we need today to promote Christ, is more men and women living in the trenches of Christian warfare. If your heart is in the right place, all of the knowledge will come in due time by growing in grace and using the means of grace through devotion, study, prayer, and being with God's people on the Lord's Day.

Massillon Baptist College in Massillon Ohio. The bad thing is that it is not an accredited college though, also a bad thing is that it is Baptist. The good thing is that it is tuition free and has cheap dorm rates. You can contact me through below website if you would like me to get contact info for you from there.
