They've been hurt a lot by men who totally ignore the fact that they're great people simply because they're overweight, and when you TELL them that you prefer toned, thin, etc, it hurts all over again. They become defensive and what are they supposed to do? Cry in front of you? Slouch away? Oh of course, they should lose weight. I'm not even gonna go there.
Don't get me wrong. I'm overweight but I get that a lot of guys won't look past my big a** to get to know me. Everyone has their personal preference. I am not attracted to balding, short, or fat men. However, I'm not so crass as to TELL them that's why I'm not attracted to them. No sense in pouring salt on the wounds, yanno. I just tell them I'm seeing someone else/not ready to date/whatever.

We all have our own tastes. Looking at myspace, I find that "about average" figure means something entirely different to larger women than to men. Apparently, it means " I don't stand out at a weight watchers meeting".
I agree, just because somebody sells a micro miniskirt in size 26 doesn't mean I want to see it on someone. Yikes. Spadex is a privilege, not a right. I don't feel the need to point things out, but I'm definitely not going to be turned on by it. If a woman's gut sticks out past her chest and she tries to solicit a compliment from me, I'll be hard pressed to be nice.
The "meat on the bones" argument is pure BS. Some people feel the need to change your opinion rather than change their diet. Ignore them. Seek what you like without guilt.
The same goes for guys who are too nice. Don't tell me about how she doesn't express interest after you followed her around the bar for an hour kissing her butt. No, she doesn't want a jerk, ignoring good guys. She wants what she wants, a man, not another girlfriend but with a penis.
DAMMIT PEOPLE, get with the program. Quit trying to convince people you are what they want. Be who you are. The person who wants that will be along shortly.

In other words, it's perfectly all right to tell someone, "I'd like you a lot more if you looked different." Yes, the replies you say you are getting are rude, but I suspect that they are just defensive reactions to your own rudeness. Would it be OK to say to a woman, "You're all right, I guess, but I prefer blondes to brunettes." Stop being a jerk. Thank goodness all men are not like you. Besides, if you don't find them attractive, why do you feel the need to insult them by telling them that you and "most men" don't find them attractive? Just leave them alone, you'll be doing them a favor.

I understand that they shouldn't put down smaller women because they are big, but I say as long as they feel comfortable in their own skin and don't get defensive, that big can be sexy. Some guy will find them beautiful and that is what is important.
And if you don't find them attractive, just don't tell them that. That is perfectly fine that you prefer smaller women, just don't tell the bigger women, "I don't find you attractive because you are overweight." That is pretty much one of those topics not needed to be brought up or discussed.

hi....i won't fault you for preferring chicks of average weight, it's just the way things tend to be.....but you really do not need to be that, um, honest with them....when you talk about them not fitting (haha) your weight preferences they "become insulted" because you just insulted them...it's that simple....if an overweight girl hits on you, just turn her down and let her move on to someone who will like her.....even if she doesn't take the hint at first just tell her you are not interested....there is no need to even mention her weight....(she's a girl, she already knows how much she weighs no matter what she says out loud) ...and if she has done nothing besides wearing bad tight clothes...just look the other way :) people do not get "defensive" unless they are attacked......

I am a big girl and I understand what you are saying some girls wear way to tight of close for thier figure and the lumps dont look good. My husband said he doesnt want a woman he can "break" its all in preferance just like even if a little man liked me I wouldnt be attracted to him because we wouldnt match ya know. Not good family pics lol. I have average wieght family members and I know they wouldnt date me if we werent related. I dont get defensive maybe some women are too sensitive.

you know thats funny you mention the wearing clothes too small... smaller women do it too and looks dumb. There is a limit to how over weight or how skinny a person should be. I have always been a little thicker but for my height i am a good weight. I am by far nnot over weight or bones. i eat healthy and exercise regualrly, I would never want to be over weight but over all Its just preferance in a man or women how they want they specl other to look. people should get a clue and be healthy and stop trying to be skinny model like.

I do think some women are sexy but the again that is just, " I like them big, I like them small, hell I like them all." would get offended if someone said you were ugly because that is exactly what you are when you insult other people. if you don't like what you see then don't look!!!
