It depends where in Maryland you are going.
Washington suburbs and western Maryland should use Regan or Dulles.(in Virginia)
Any where else you would use BWI near Baltimore.

Depends on which part of MD you're going to. I visit Bethesda a lot and DC - Reagan National is the most convenient (especially since it's a relatively small airport, and I can get on the subway right there at the airport). But for many parts of MD, BWI airport is the most convenient, and often the cheapest airport to fly into. Dulles is huge and not a very convenient airport at all.

If heading to Baltimore or the suburbs north of there, use BWI. If going to Frederick or western Maryland, you could use Dulles (IAD). Reagan (DCA) can be tricky with the traffic, since it is just across the river from DC. I have found the best rates out of BWI, with Dulles coming in second...but, occassionally, you can get a good deal with Reagan.

There's 3 airports in the DC area
1. IAD-- Dulles.. about 45 minutes from DC.. in VA
2. BWI-- Baltimore-Washington Airport... not very fond of it personally...
3. Reagan.. which is pretty close to DC.

I would pick Reagan.. it also has a metro stop.

BWI is Baltimore (good - north of DC)
DCA is Ronald Reagan/National (best - this is in east DC/north VA)
IAD is Dulles (good - this is in west DC)
If you are searching for flights online WAS will give you results for all three!

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for price then search on WAS and go with the best price. Otherwise I like DCA because it's a smaller airport, great shops, & easy to get to.

If you are heading to Southern MD then Reagan National (DCA) Otherwise, use Baltimore-Washington International (BWI).

Go to google maps and map DCA to your destination and the do the same for BWI. This will help you decide.
