if you fly at the equator, it is faster to fly from west to east than it is to fly from east to west. 37 hours for the first direction nonstop and 30 the other way. this is a commercial airliner.

Depends where you start and where you finish. I think it would take a shorter time from starting near the very tip of the northern hemisphere. It would take longer starting at the middle of the earth and flying all the way around. It all depends where you want to start and finish.
