Narcolepsy is a sleep disturbance ailment. People experience several breaks in their sleep at night, and have difficulty staying awake in the daytime. When they nap in the daytime they enter REM sleep which is a deep sleep. Most people do not do this if they take a nap. Narcolepsy makes it difficult to concentrate, you are always tired, you have a difficult time staying awake if you sit still. Narcolepsy can be helped by medication that stimulates your brain in the daytime to keep you more alert, this allows you to sleep better at night. People with narcolepsy also need to regulate their own environment, don't eat late especially anything with carbs or caffeine. Also they need to keep a schedule and go to bed and get up at the same time everyday.
Some people benefit from scheduled naps, however this always only made me feel worse. People can learn to live with narcolepsy, I think it actually makes me a good multitasker because I've learned to keep myself awake by being constantly busy and find it easier to concentrate doing more than one thing at a time. Meetings, classes, and church, TV and movies are are tough though. I have to keep fidgeting, moving, doodling anything to keep me busy or I can't for the life of me stay awake. Although being tired can make you cranky, Narcolepsy is no excuse for being mean.

These are just for you. I didn't send treatments or anything like that. You got symtons ,effects & how famiilys/friends help. I hope this helps you. I know you feel bad about or you would have never post this. Get off your back & just try to make it up by being nice or at least not rude. Any way I do hope you get something out of these.

Dont even study and make reaserches about her problem, because real problem she have is her mouf. Your absolutely right for not giving her a sympathy vote, because simply she dont desurve it. Why would you feel bad about you being mean to her if she is the one that should be ashamed of her throwing offending **** out there? She should know better not to. I mean unless you some perfect 100% wanted sexy *** man/woman that no woman /man can say no to then you can really talk **** to anyone.
Other then that you sure you guys dont like each other? Because usually thats how whole friendship starts. Ok maybe you are not pulling her pigtails and she is not hitting you with a book on your head but is it me or you actually exchanging words becasue there is atraction.

It is a condition in which you just fall off to sleep for a couple of minutes, despite having had a good night's sleep. No one knows how or why you have it- - u just do. No cure for it, but there are meds you can take to keep you awake. It can be triggered by different outside influences, as well. You can get overly excited, and it's like your body gets overwhelmed and just shuts down for a minute or so. Really strong emotions can bring an episode on. Really interesting. Check it out on the web.

I would go to a walk-in clinic and see what they tell you. You might need to exercise more if you have a job where you sit a lot. Watch your diet too - cut out caffeine, and sugar. Drink lots of water and fruit juice. Try to eat healthy - and avoid large portions.
