Is there anything which REALLY works? I feel rotten and all I can do is drink Lemsip (urgh). I am still sneezing and I *must* feel better for work tomorrow, much as I would love to just sit on the sofa watching DVDs, instead.

Gill W, would you mind expanding your answer? Do I boil lemonade and add paracetamol? Would be most grateful for more details!

I do the following:
Pour lemonade into a cup, then transfer to a jug. Heat in the microwave for 2.5 mins (full power).
Mix lemon juice and a tablespoon of runny honey in the bottom of the cup.
Once the lemonade is heated up, pour into the cup on top of the honey/juice and then stir.
Take two paracetamol as you would normally, and sip the hot lemonade and honey.
The honey helps soothe sore throats, the vapours of the hot lemonade act as a natural decongestant and you get the vitamin C in the juice. Works a treat, I swear by it.

Boost up your immune system:
Take a few Oil of Oregano drops under your tongue. Go on a liquid vegetable diet and avoid any kind of sugar or white flour products or fats or dairy. A salad is possible but preferable only vegetable juices. Follow this diet for at least 24 hours.
The same as above add vitamin C every hour 2000 mg. For at least 4 hours or till your stool is getting soupy. This is a sign of elimination. The above should recover you very fast if you can do it. For the real determined...go for a very hot bad
When you feel run down and think you are coming down with an INFECTION or FLU, or COLD, take a very hot bath. Be sure you have somebody else in the house with you, as it might be so hot that you could faint. The water should be between a 100 F and 104 F, or as warm as you can tolerate if this is too much. Cover yourself as much as possible with the warm water except of course your nose and face. Try to stay in 10 minutes and wrap yourself in a towel and get under the warm covers right away. This to help you to keep sweating and eliminating. BE SURE you are not alone in the house.
Avoid stress.
Try to take in sunshine at least ½ hour a day.
Get enough physical exercise.
Be sure to get enough probiotics (good bacteria) in the form of kefir/acidophilus.
Sometimes it is just nice tobe at home and give your self a time-out to re-think your life. What ever you decide , enjoy yourself and see the positive side of life.

Hi, just keep taking lemsip but get the max strength one thought, also steam your head if you have a facial sauna or just lean over a bowl and put in some olbas oil and inhale. Plenty of hot drinks are also good. If you still feel bad tomorrow i wouldnt go into work as for one thing you wont beable to work properly and you may make your self worse and you will need more time off work. Colds usually last no longer than a few days. So you may feel better tomorrow but i would still sleep the rest of the day and give work a miss to give your body time to recover.

You don’t need to exercise for long periods of time. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results in the event you work hard. Get a bypassing rope, skip for two units, do push ups for 60 seconds or so, skip for two minutes, rest for one minute. Then change the push as much as something else like sit ups and do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s an instant, effective workout that will advance results than a long run or swim.

If I get cold or flu, I down as much fresh (not concentrate) orange juice as I can. Keeps your immune system on the up. It works so well. In fact I drink orange juice quite alot and I dont recall the last time I had a cold!
Maybe tomato juice too cos that has alot of vitamin c but ive never tried that.
Gett well soon!

Then change the push as much as something else like sit ups in addition to do the set again. Music enables you to eat more. According to research by the journal Psychology and also Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage you to definitely take time over your dinner, so you consume more meal. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re adding your mouth.

Set performance-based goals. Always set yourself incrementally larger goals each week to make certain you’re engaged and have something to shoot for. Each little achievement is also a reward that you’re going in the right direction. From doing 10 more squats to mastering a new yoga pose, whatever floats the boat.

Don’t count calories after you eat. Check the calories before you dive in and you could find it puts you away from that extra chocolate chip cookie.
