The only thing you can do is tell him..and if you are best friends as you say, and he happens to not like you back, than he should be cool with it, and it shouldn't change anything. It's a hard thing to do, I went through the same thing one time. But when you do it, and tell him how you feel, a whole new world could open, and it may even be wonderful.

Drop some hints, let him know, but subtlely, that way if he doesn't share your feeling then you can still be friends. No matter what you do just make that you value your friendship with him above anything else.

yeah i understand. i like one of my friends too! Just hang as friends for a while and maybe flirt just a little adn if he likes it maybe he wants more than friends!

you should go for it chances are he likes you and by telling him you wont ruin your friendship if he is really your friend he wont dump your friendship.
