Whats the legality of arguing with NYC meter maids?

I despise them. I tend to scream at then, a lot. I was wondering, is it illegal to curse at them or wish horrible things upon them?

On the question of why i yell at them, I simply believe the way they do it is terribly sneaky. Its a spineless job for spineless people. Iv had many experiences where the meter maid was not only rude, but obviously being demeaning to show power over me. On top of all that, ive had about 5 tickets that were wrongly given to me. I dont like to waste my time with courts and phone calls, that costs me money. Also, I have a general dislike for authority. So don't really try to get me to change how i treat them, im still going to wish massive heart failure on them regardless of what you tell me.

1st amendment you can basiclly say anything you want to the meter maid as long as you don't touch them (considered assulting an officier) or make death threats

I'm curious why you have to scream at them a lot. Are you violating the laws that they are sworn to uphold? Or, do you think that you are better than them? If I was a meter maid, and you yelled at me a lot, I would watch you and your car like a hawk. If you parked just a hairs thickness beyond legal, I would nail you. I would sit there watching your meter and the second it goes into violation, I'd write you a citation. Your name and description would be posted for all other cops to see. And I'm sure they would do the same. Remember this: "Cops treat people like the people treat them." Maybe you should ride with a meter maid for a day, see what kind of crap they have to put up with, how many other morons treat them like you do. I am curious what you do for a living. I hope you don't have a job where you deal with people, cuz you really suck.

Yes, it is frustrating to get tickets. I have been the victim of "Parking Enforcement Agents" as well, and I am good friends with their Boss. BUT, there are rules and regulations that must be enforced and someone has to do it. At one time they were under the authority of the Dept of Transportation. Since 1995 they are now attached to the NYPD. First of all, your resentment of Authority will just get you arrested someday. Secondly, Just think what it would be like if no one obeyed the rules and parked whereever they wanted. Traffic would come to a halt and mass chaos would make you scream even more. Take a chill pill and park legally. If your ranting and raving gets out of control they can call Police and have you arrested.....and they do have your license plate number.

Legally, depending on what you said, you CAN be charged with making terroristic threats [yes, it's true]. As far as wishing evil things on them, this is a moral issue, not legal. But remember, if you were doing a job like that, would you want someone wishing bad thoughts on you?

why are you abusing these poor people ? they have a job to perform. Why do you despise them for you parking your car in prohibited areas ? power trip for yourself because you think you CAN get away with it. Better watch out-you never know whose mom, sister, brother you may be yelling at

You could be arrested harassment if you curse at a meter maid. also you can be arrested for impeding a law enforcement official.
