I just adopted a bengal kitten, he is adorable! I want to name him something regal, to do with his breed like Simba or Asia, but so many cats are named that, I want something more original! Or anything thats just cute. Do you have any ideas for me??? thankyou!

If you're into greek mythology at all, there are some great names to choose from. I'd say a lot of them are the type of regal ones you're looking for. And it's nice to pick a name of a god or person from a story you enjoy. For example, I got two cats (A bengal and a siamese) that were born only one day apart. I was looking for names and read a story about Castor and Polluck - two brothers that were the son of a god and a normal woman. They thought that they were both immortal and so they went around doing all kinds of god-type stuff. You know, saving people, fighting in wars, etc... One time they had ran off with 2 daughters of some king. -- The king got mad and sent his army after them. The army killed Castor and was about to kill Pollux, when Zues swooped down, save Pollux, and made him immortal. Pollux was distraught that Castor had died - they thought they were both immortal. Zues then brought Castor back to life and made him immortal- but only every other day! I liked the story and the names so I used them.
If you like the idea, here is a good website to look:
http://www.godchecker.com/pantheon/greek-mythology.php?_gods-list
It has hundreds of names, alpabetical, and you can click each name to see what story it's from and what they were about.
that page is the greek gods, but you there is also all other kinds of gods names you can search on that site.

Have you ever seen the musical Cats? It's a gold mine for names of cats. Lets see there's: -Asparagus/ Gus (The theatre cat) -Growltiger -Macavity (The Villan) -Magical Mr. Mistoffelees -Mungojerrie (has a sister named Rumpleteaser) -Munkustrap (narrator cat) -Rum Tum Tugger (the curious cat) -Skimbleshanks - (the railway cat) Those are the main cats... But if you've ever heard of The Mean Kitty, Sparta looks a lot like a Bengal cat. Hope this helps!

How about Lanka? Or Sri Patches. You probably already know this but Sri is a title of respect for males in India.

Well, Simba means "lion" in Swahili, and I believe "jaguar" in Swahili is Kamusi. Maybe you can name him that. Or, cat in Italian is Gatto. I bet whatever you name him will be great though =]
