I havent used it but I wondered that myself. Some generic versions of products work great but some not at all. I used to use ProActiv and it worked as long as I used it everyday like I was supposed to. After awhile though I was at a plastic surgeons office and his wife told me about a product they sold. I didnt want to stop using ProActiv cause I was afraid I would start breaking out bad again and that the new stuff wouldnt work but I eventually tried it.

It's MD Forte by MD Formulations and as far as I know you can only get it from a dr's office but not like you have to pay to see a dermatologist. You just have to go in and buy it from a dr. It has glycolic acid in it and it is for ALL skintypes (one of the reasons I doubted it would work as it did not specifically say "for acne prone skin"). It has three levels so you skin gets used to one for awhile and then moves up and eventually to level three. The face wash is $30 and will last you about two months and then all you need other than that is the facial lotion which is like a watery "lotion" that you put on at night (it also has glycolic acid) and thats about $60 but it lasts well over 6 months. I cant even remember the last time I bought one actually so it might be longer. It may seem a little more expensive than other stuff but it works for everyone and when you break it down for how long it lasts its no more expensive than the crap you buy at drugstores that never works anyways.

There's probably a way to find out where its sold near you.

I've used both proactiv, and acne free. unfortunately, neither worked for me. But I know something that will. Really, this worked for me, go easy on the greasy/fatty foods, and chocolate, drink PLENTY OF WATER!! water does wonders for the skin, and cleanse the skin with biore anti black head /acne cleanser, this routine is working really good for me, and at one point in time, I had pretty bad acne. Also, before cleansing, heat some water on the stove in pot, and put your face over it, not to hot though, it will steam the pores cLean.. Hope I helped!

it works good but just like proactive, after 2 months of using it ur skin kind've becomes imune to it. It works really well otherwise.

Normally I prefer natural ways instead of all these chemical stuffs. They are few sites which gives great information for skin care especially acne care. You can try this tips at http://www.naturalbeautycareguide.com/skin-problems/acne-care.html. Since there is no side effects you can try it out. But onething you remember. Normally for natural ways it take some time since it doesnt have any chemicals.
