maybe got kennel cough, my dog had it, 3 day course of antibiotics cleared it right up. try giving them glycerol (found in most infant cough medicines) which is a syrup to ease their dry throat, the dog's home reccomended it us. but yeah get them to the vet asap.

DOes it usually happen after some activity or just out of the blue? If it happens after they are running around they are probably just out of breath. But if it just happens at random times something might be wrong, and a trip to the vet would be the best idea.

My beagle does this too. Its almost like that can't breathe. The vet says its because the have a soft pallet or something like that. Can't remember exactly. The vet told me to put my hand under her throat and pull down on her snout gently. I guess its kind of realigning it.

Hope that helps

this is normal. dogs sweat this way and they cool down this way and breath this way and labs are built for almost constant panting.
so are bull dogs ...all of the bully dog breeds.
all dogs do it but some breeds do it a lot b/c of the way they are built

first of all, is this after strenuous exercises? if so, therein lies your answer if not, they could have breathing trouble( genetic or otherwise; purebreds are notorious for chronic health problems) and i suggest x-rays of their lungs. also, i think there is some sort of dog inhaler for those with asthma

thats very serious..i dont think you should take them to the vet because they wont help..take them to a specialist..talk to ayone that might have had the similar problem....if they look like they cant breathe it might be that you dont give them enough WATER!!!!!

Have you brought them to a vet? I would definitely recommend this, it is the best option.
