My teeth are done. But my orthodontist is making the time between all the appointments so long and he won't let us move them up. Last week i was supposed to get impressions done and then 2 weeks later they were supposed to come off. But they didnt do the impressions, they didn't do anything. What should i tell my orthodontist so he will let me move up my appointment

I doubt that he's putting it off just for your inconvenience or the fun of it. There must be a reason, and he should tell you. You probably have just one stubborn tooth (that he's being a perfectionist about!) that won't get it line with the others. He's just trying to give you the perfect smile that you wanted when you first came to see him. He probably hasn't even thought about discussing it with you, thinking that you wouldn't notice or understand. Tell him you want them off and ask what's the hold up? He'll tell you and then you can go on being anxious about getting them off. Don't rush the perfectionist, let him do his stuff! Good luck, hope I was of some help!

In the meantime don't forget to wear your rubber bands or anything else you are suppose to wear. Not doing that may cause you to have to wait even longer in getting them removed!

Thanks Slapshot, I didn't want to bring that posibility up, she may go fuss at her parents if that's the reason.

I agree with Heather and can only add the possibility of a payment issue. If you have paid for your portion of your orthodontic treatment in full, AND they are ready to come off, then they will come off. Otherwise, they are either not ready to come off, or your balance is not paid in full. Either way, the orthodontist is the only one who is qualified to say when they come off.

Call his office staff and talk to the hygenist/dental tech that usually assists him and find out what is going on.
