First off, drop the idea of her getting a BMW. When I was in high school, I got a used Toyota Corolla and that's all a high schooler should get. No fancy cars. Also, she needs to prove herself more by being more honest, following the rules, and being responsible. And she should get a part-time job to pay for gas, etc. Tell her actions speak louder than words and right now, her actions say she's irresponsible.

You pull the car away from her. She doesn't get it back for a very long time. She is now grouned from going out or having friends over and that includes school events. She has to win yours and your husband respect back and it shouldn't be overnight either. The more she fights, the more you take away. If you do not put a stop to it now it does get worse later. Put your foot down and take a stand.

I always leave with a cowboy quote: Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

Well, I'm 15 and I think this is fair. I wouldn't want it to happen to me, but if she knew the rules and she didn't follow them then this punishment is fair.
On the flip side, you said she told her father she was going to get something to eat, so she didn't lie because she did go get something to eat. She just wasn't specific about where, so maybe her father should of asked where she was going.

Absolutely. If she can't listen to your rules, then she can't get the car. Period.
