It should be compulsory. It should be shown in every boardroom and every school in the UK. Most importantly, it should be shown to those who doubt global warming e.g. Chrysler. It should be shown to those countries that don't believe global warming is a reality (USA) or those who are simply turning a blind eye for the sake of economic progress (China & India).

Compulsory? why exactly? you might just find that a lot of people dont care. Besides, consider this, last year China built more coal fired power stations than we've ever had, so paying over the odds for eco-friendly washing powder or having £115 stolen from them if they buy a Freelander for eco-offsetting isn't going to make a blind bit of difference. The only people getting anything out of everyone foaming at the mouth about what might happen are the Government because they wil use it to take money from us and the patronising halfwits like Greenpeace etc. who'll suddenly be delighted because they'll feel like they're being taken seriously all of a sudden.

The population explosion is a myth from the 1970s, long since disproven, even the UN finally admitted two years ago, over 30 years late, that it's not happening. The population is really nearing it's peak and than will decline. We popularly call depopulation a declining population or an aging population. This is the reason countries need immigrants to maintain or increase the population in a country. If the birthrate is below 2.1 your population is aging/ declining. But it can't work for long, because to maintain the economy you need not only a growing population in your country but over the entire world to pay taxes, buy stuff, save, invest, pay for all the promises to the older generations. This is part of the reason for the current depression, there aren't only enough people in US who can afford to buy houses, there aren't enough to even buy them. That's why the new houses are getting bulldozed down. There's no shortage of resources, but a shortage of people.

I think exactly the opposite. Sadly the case against this woefully ignorant man conceited and narrow minded man requires an understanding of degree level mathematics and engineering specialisation while the case for can be readily made with mindless verbiage as he so ably does.
Unless you are familiar with signal analysis using Fourier's method you are incapable of judging whether the climate has changed from is very complex normal pattern.
Fourier analysis of the waveform shows two dominant cycles at 23 years 8 months and 15 years 2 months which produce a repeating pattern every 350 years approximately. Historical information documents this in remarkable detail if one cares to check it including works like that of John Evelyn in his "Directions for the gardiner" (yes that is the spelling way back then.)
Sadly the media and political classes have never grown out of of the snobbery towards engineering so exemplified by Churchill with his engineers should be on tap not on top to listen to their betters.
One major climate scientist is currently fighting in the courts against having his work at concealing this previous occurrence being publicly revealed. regrettably he ahs US tax dollars funding him while his opponent has only web supporter generated funding.
We also have officially sanctioned BBC brainwashing for the pro AGW lobby proven in spite of their charter obligation to honesty.
Ask yourselves just one question "why do they claim the case is beyond question when they have not even got as close as those that aristocratic know nothing Charles calls headless chickens after 90 plus upward doctoring of the temperatures?".

You pose a very good question, well done.
I feel there should be more adverts with regard to climate change, and what we can do to stop the damage we are doing to our planet.
Good advice and information is needed, to show the real problem, that we are now experiencing.

Though very interesting, it didn't go far enough. It gives the impression that we can do something about climate change. Well we could if the whole world would do something about it, we could if we let go of our economies of growth, we could if we reduce our population, we could have already done something when twenty years ago we had listened to the people who were already telling us this would happen! But no one wants to abandon their comfort and make sacrifices!

I found it quite scary but unless the big polluters ie the US change there policies - we are all doomed- its like the rich asking us to give our money to starving children in Africa when they could stamp out the problem with there money and still have more than enough in their pockets!!- however we should all try and do our bit- I shall be sorting out recycling containers tomorrow!!
