research your family names very carefully, there are bureau of Indian affairs located throughout the country. they may have useful information, also try the tribe where she originated.
It took my husband and I, 2 yrs to trace his heritage, he is now enrolled thru his tribe.
I have been enrolled since birth, and my mother has a family tree, so things are easier for us.
adopting out native American children was very prevalent in the old days, how sad is that??? the government tried to wipe us out.
good luck to you in your search.

and to DAKOTAH, they are not "WITCH DOCTORS",
they are medicine Dr's., or medicine people.

research-B.I.A., tribal enrollments, Government records...
GOOD LUCK!!!!
