i had a nosejob done a month ago. right now, around the bridge area (where the work was performed), the skin continues to peel at times and i have been warned about staying out of the sun or using sunblock.

does anyone know why this skin area peels after a nosejob?

I think it is because it was covered by the badage and the skin died. To the other person who said why would someone have a nose job she wouldnt understand unless she had a huge nose on her face. Dont judge people unless you have been there. I had one and it was the best thing that I ever did for myself. Good luck with yours it takes about a year for it to look the way it is supposed to look.

Did you mention this to your doc when you went for post-op checkups? If it's not healing, it's bad. But if it's just healing slowly, I guess you're stuck with it. Surgery can have all kinds of weird side effects, and if you got it only a month ago...give it some time. Most surgeries, they say you'll need 6-8 weeks of recovery time to get back to pretty much normal.

Ask your doc--if it's normal, he/she will tell you that. If it's unusual, your doc will definitely want to know. But I'd say, just give it some time and sunscreen. Wear a hat--winter sun is brutal. Keep it warm.
