nuclear capability = nuclear weapons

2007-01-21 08:13:03 · update #1

Conclusion:
If you don't have weapons of mass destruction you risk to get invaded by the US if they feel like it.
On the other hand, if you ACTUALLY have them...
Now I understand North Korea nuclear test.

It depends on what you call "capability".

Iraq had a limited capability in that it had equipment, on-going research and attempts to buy fissionable material or "yellow cake".

We got there in time to stop the process, which Israel was unable to stop (they put Saddam back some years, but didn't stop him).

Not yet, but I hope it won't stop us in the future. We'll have to deal with Iran and North Korea sometime.
