For a religion that so openly goes against Homosexuality, sex before marriage, unnatural sex acts, and the such, how did Adam and Eve's children get around the obvious Moral dilemma of incest.Furthermore, where the heck were the dinosaurs and saber tooth tigers? Or is it more likely this was one of those times the bible was NOT meant to be taken literally.

I know im going to get the typical atheist response of, the whole thing is a lie, but, well... i guess thats ok too!!!

Good question. I dunno the answer tho.
If adam and eve were the first 2 people here and they were suppossedly white, where did all the other races come from and all other religions. You would think they would bring up their kids to believe as they did???
You can raise a million questions from the bible if ya want to. Those of faith just must take it for granted as such and believe.
Faith is believing in something which has NO explanation.
Jesus is MY savior.

Get around it. They didn't. There was no problem with that until way after the flood. That's about the time when impurities entered into the DNA of man. Scientifically I would make a hypothesis that there was an outside force that caused not only huge tides that engulfed the earth with her oceans but stripped away some of the protection that were part of the atmosphere before that time.

Secondly you asked that tired question about extinct animals.. Tell just how long was Adam in the garden.. The words has a location for the garden so it had limits. Outside those limits the devil and his angles were cast after being ejected from heaven. Death and savagery ruled there. This is where God was preparing the rest of the world for us.. These creatures had their place in the creation of the environment we have today..

The Bible is an outline of the full processes God used to build this world. It is Not a book of science, nor of natural or human history. It is a book of faith. Can I take literally it's teachings YES, can I take literally it's science, and history, for as deep as they go sure. It confirms science more than teaches science. As man has learned more it's has proven to be remarkable able to support it's self in the light of that knowledge.. Jim

Well, I am not sure of the answer you are looking for, but it sounds like you have an idea of what you want to hear, based on the question you asked. I can only tell you that scripture says Adam and Eve were the FIRST, but it does not say they were the ONLY creations of God. As a matter of fact, Cain, after he killed Abel, went out and married a woman from the land of NOD, east of Eden. Genesis Chapter 4:

13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."

15 But the LORD said to him, "Not so [e] ; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, [f] east of Eden.

In 14, Cain says that whoever finds me will kill me. Logic tells you that if there were none other than Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel, there at that time, there would be noone to kill him. But, he is afraid that someone will kill him! This initially says that there were other creations. for confirmation of this, Verse 16 even gives the one of the other people names, they were from the land of NOD, east of Eden. This is how they got around the incest thing.

As to the saber-tooth cats and dinosaurs, we tend to look at the biblical version of creation as literal in terms of days. Don't get me wrong, a day may have been just that, but it also says that some people lived over 900 years. If it were possible for the first man man to live 900+ years by the hand of God, who says the the first seven days were actually 1440 minutes long a piece? at least, minutes as we think of them? It is said "a day could be as a millisecond to the mind of an infinite God". It is also said that eternity will seem like nothing when we get to Heaven. Who says time is not a relative concept? Look I can't give you an exacting answer to this one, and there is not anyone that can. All I can say to you is that you can accept on faith that it was done in a "day", of some sort, or not. That is what Faith says, it is that which steps out over water and finds a rock.

Hope this helps...

Genesis 4:17 says, "Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch." Who was his wife? It is implied in the biblical text that Cain married one of his sisters. Several facts lead us to this conclusion.
First, it is clear that Adam and Eve had a number of children. Genesis 5:4 says, "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." Since Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and since God had commanded them (and their descendants) to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), it seems reasonable to conclude that Cain married one of his many sisters. It is also possible that he married a niece or even a grandniece.
One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece) in the days of Cain.

The answer to your question may not be what you want but it is the truth. Man was instructed by God to be fruitful and multiply. It was practical and allowed for brother and sister to marry in the beginning but when the earth was sufficiently populated this practice ended. The second question comes up a lot...We can not relate to God on any level. God created time. Time functions by the will of God. God is not limited by time. How long is a day to God? Is it 24 hours? Is it 1,000 years? Is it 1 million years? The Bible is not clear about the length of time. God created all things. Yes, even dinosaurs. God created all animals before man. When God created man, man became master of all animals. When man sinned God changed the rules of all
creation...where the dinosaurs destroyed because of man? Check out Genesis,Chapter 1 & Chapter 3: 8-24.

Incest was forbidden because of imperfection. Where do you think Adam and Eve's children were going to get mates? The fact is, they were much closer to perfection then, so the "incest" law did not apply nor was it even made yet. It was made law with the Law covenant between Israel and God. Before that , it was only implied. The dinosaurs disappeared long before man came along. They were the "heavy equipment" that helped prepare the Earth for human and animal habitation.

As to the incest issue... that is the way God set it up... the genetic code had not been so corrupted yet that it was an efficiant means to do the population growth thing...God makes the rules...whrn it became necessary to impliment the no incest rule God did so...... as to the beasties you ention...thedinosaurs were long gone before God put mankind here... there were Saber tooths though and Mamouths and such... most likly mankind had a hand in their extiction.... A whold lot more involved than that ofcourse... but not something that one should get their panties in a bunch over.....

If you were to read the Epic of Gilgamesh you would learn that people being fashioned from earth and mud goes back centuries before the Israelite claimed it so. In fact, before Adam and Eve existed there was nothing - no Egypt or Mesopotamia: No planets or heavens. No stars or galaxies . . .

When the first people were made, they were "very good". It is only later, after sin that inbreeding became a problem. Dinosaurs etc. were part of the original creation, but because after the flood there was only half the oxygen, and half the atmospheric pressure (see Carl Baugh- of creation evidences museum) they could not live after the flood. Not sure about the Sabre tooth's, but hey there are a few million other things I'm not sure of, so I don't think they are real important.

When I was a kid I asked that question and got and unsatisafctory answer.

Essentially, Bible is a book of parables, and this is one. What does it teach? I suppose... do what god tells you or he's gonna disown your ***.

Dinosaurs were not around then. Not a chance. Early man vs dinosaur in a most fit to survive contest? Take a guess.
