When I was in college, I applied and was approved. They only wanted my info. I only had a part time job, and it was a lifesaver.

If your parent are paying for college and they are claiming you as a dependent and tax deduction, it is unlikely that you would qualify as your family resources would be taken into account. If they are not, and you meet certain income requirements meaning if it is just yourself and nobody else in your family and you make under $692 in income per month and have under $4150 in resources (the resources of legally responsible family members are counted) the you should qualify. Look up the facts on the following link. http://www.health.state.ny.us/health_care/medicaid/

Anyone can apply for medicaid. It is based solely on your income. They will ask you questions and will want to know who lives with you and what the income is. That is how they will make the determination if you qualify or not. If you need to get medical service, please apply, all they can say is no.

Do you have any income at all? Do you have any possessions?
Are you disabled?

Sure, but if your parents claim you as a dependent, then you have to use THEIR income for the income guidelines to see if you're eligible.
