Usually you vet will tell you what kind of behavior to expect from your pet after surgery. Getting spayed is a more involved procedure than getting neutered, so it may take her more time to heal than it would for a male cat. HOWEVER, it sounds like you are concerned. I would call a 24 hour vet hospital and ask them if this is normal behavior. Many places will answer your questions over the phone, but if they are worried, they will ask you to come in. Some animals are also more sensitive to the anesthesia than others. Another concern is that she could get dehydrated if she isn't drinking water. I wish your kitty the best in her recovery!

try to ensure she has drink within easy reach
Let her lick water off your finger if she does not feel like getting up herself
Keep her warm and quiet
phone vets office first thing tomorrow morning ,if she has not improved
Some cats , like any animal, take longer to recover from anesthesia, than others .
she may need some pain control , or other medication
So call the Vets office ,to be reassured ,that all is well .
Poor Kitty :(
I hope she will be feeling, a lot better by tomorrow .
>^,,^<
Note ;
spaying a female cat ,is more invasive and traumatic,
than male castration ,
they can often take 24 hours , to start to recover

I have several cats and they were fairly lethargic that first day home. However, if you cat is not drinking anything I would be concerned. Most cats are back to normal after a couple days (at least all of mine were). I would call the vet's emergency number or an emergency pet clinic she may be suffering from infection and that can be very serious.

Your cat should of gotten back on her feet by now. We've had two male cats get fixed and they were back to their oldselves the same day expect for being mad at us but I'm sure that it's the same for female male cats. You should call your Vet in the morning and explain what's going on. They shouldn't of let her go without watching her and making sure she could eat and drink.

Yes you should start to worry - call the vet first thing in the AM. She should have been eating and drinking almost immediately. In fact they shouldn't have sent her home before they observed her have a bowel movement, eat and drink.

I would put a call into your vet and explain the situation. I believe they should start feeling back to normal by 24 hours at the latest.
