I mean, is all this arguement at least helping SOME people?

DISCLAIMER: I know there are still people asking legitimate questions and are having honest problems, but the majority is just junk.

If not, I'm definetely going to reconsider this whole thing.

Too many hypocrites; too many people mocking God. 99% of the Athiests here do not want to learn about Christ, they just want to mock and/or debate him.

Have you ever seen someone changed spiritually over the internet?

Do you think God's plan is that you show the love Christ gave you over the internet?

Aren't we judged by our fruits?

...something to think about. I've noticed that I minister to people WAY better in person, heart to heart.

I say, let them mock God, I'll go teach someone that wants to hear.

I'm an atheist. I don't mock God, I just want God out of our laws, politics and rules and regulations. Religion is a personal matter, not a public matter.

A very dear friend of mine converted from Christianity to Atheism on this forum.

My sweet girlfriend, a Christian all her life, now doesn't believe the Bible anymore, because of this forum. She still believes in God, she's still a Theist, but no longer a Christian. I just hope she won't lose that last part of her faith, because I know it's part of her. As I said, as an atheist, belief is a personal matter.

"99% of the Athiests here do not want to learn about Christ, they just want to mock and/or debate him."

Totally disagree. Most of us will honestly read any argument for Christ that you may have (unless it's done in a sarcastic manner, or something that's been repeated ten million times before). But no arguments have convinced us. I've been using this thing since July and I've read countless posts trying to convince everyone to convert to Christianity. I've taken into account all their points and thought about it -- and nothing ever made me change my mind. I'm still totally open-minded, and if someone posts something in the next ten minutes proving without a doubt that Christianity is indeed the correct religion, AND answers all my questions, I'll gladly convert and admit I was wrong. But that's never happened. You can say that I'm not giving it enough of a chance, you can say I'm not here to seriously learn all sides of the argument... you can say whatever you want, but that's the truth.

To answer your question: No, I haven't really been "spiritually changed" from coming here. Again, I'm totally open-minded, and if you've got some piece of information that will prove I'm wrong, then by all means share it with me... and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way at all. But I'm telling you, I've been coming here for months and I can't remember reading anything that even came close to changing my mind.

I am sure there have been some people touched. There is a lot of "junk", I agree, there's a lot of hateful people also. I believe you should show the love of Christ anywhere and any time you have the chance. One thing I'd like for you to think about, for all those who want to debate or mock God, realize that in them doing so, they are thinking about Him. We all minister better in person! You continue to do God's will, you are reaching someone, and YOU may play a part in saving their spiritual life. They may not know it, you may not know it, but God will. Isn't that more important than anything. God Bless you for caring about others, this world needs people like you to spread the Word.

As far as I know the Internet has helped further Atheism. I'm sure a few people have "heard the glory of Jesus" through the internet, but it's truely a minority.

With the power of easy acess to information, religion can't really compete, since it relies on Family, Tradition, and Community to keep the god train rolling.

This is a form of media that is not going to convert ost souls but we might answer a few Christians honest questions that are worthwhile from time to time. You are absolutely right that the only way to teach and baptize the lost is in person as the Apostles did. I am only on here when not doing HIS WORK elsewhere. Have a great evening.

Yes, people have been impacted through this. I have had several contact me because of answers I gave asking me questions. Many have wrote back and forth for some time asking for further spiritual guidance. Most just contact me to well at me because my beliefs do not line up with typical church teachings. but I believe it is worth the while.

Remember that the Bible states that "faith without works is dead."

Ephesians 2:8,9 states that " No one gets to Heaven by good works, lest any man boast. It is the gift of God through Christ Jesus, our Lord, that we are saved."

It doesn't matter what form of communication you use to convey the word; just plant the seed & let the Holy Spirit sow it.

REALLY? So you mean a heart transplant?

Wrong forum. You should try and understand the difference between saying something literally and figuratively.

Maybe being an atheist will help people. Why do you think your view is so right?
