Averaging 1-2 pounds per week is best. Figuring that it is easier to take weight off at the beginning, and harder at the end, then I'd say about 30 weeks, or 7 months.
Just be willing to reexamine your final weight as you go along. You may find at 125 that your body is exactly the way you want it, especially if you have been working out (muscle weighs more than fat).
Good luck!

First off, eating healthy is the first step to anything. Limit your carbs, the most carbs should be in the morning. Try not eating so late at night. Monitor your meals. Find filling foods such as grains, avocados, and things to fill you up so you do not eat as much. You daily calorie need is about: 2,438 calories a day. Second, be active. Exercise two to three times a week even if it is walking around your house. make sure to stay active. Vitamin B6 monitors your body's metabolism and boosts energy, try a supplement of B-complex or just B6, even the bottles from wal mart are fine. good luck,

It would now not be healthy to lose 30 lbs in 1 or 2 months. Simply make a selection to devour healthful always, and work out as soon as a day. Do not get caught up in the fear and become with an consuming disorder.

Three, no more than 4 lbs a week max loss is recommended for high chance of keeping it off down the road. If you have reduced your calorie intake somewhat and are exercising regularly, you could lose that weight (safely) in about 10 to 13 weeks.
If you choose to lose a bit slower than that, then of course it will take longer. The more slowly you lose, the easier it will be to keep off.

Really, the slower the better. If you try to lose too much weight quickly, you risk getting sick and stretch marks. Exercise, eat right, drink a lot of water, stay away from foods and soft drinks that contain high fructose corn syrup (your body does not digest it and it packs on the pounds), and stay away from fast food. Good luck! :)

Eat properly, drink lots of water and exercise and it should take about three months, maybe longer depending on how quickly it takes to lose the weight.
Good luck
