I have been taking INH (Isoniazid) for a latent (inactive) tuberculosis infection. I want to make sure that this wouldn't cause any complications with a tattoo I've been planning to get on my back. Does anyone know anything about interactions between this anti-bacterial drug and regular, safe, tattooing practices?

i would check with your doctor, but do you remember when you had the TB test, most of the time they stick a needle under the lining of your skin and it swells if its a positive or a false/positive, my concern would be that with you having it the needle penetration in your skin would cause the swelling and "bubbles" that appear on your skin when you get a TB test in the first place,s ounds risky but if your doc says it wont pose a problem then i wouldnt worry, im just concerned about the needle penetration causing trouble with the way the ink and your skin react to it. good luck and god bless

Nope. Getting a tatoo will be no problem.

it would be best to ask the artist that is going to do the work, it is his neck on the line, here.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure.
