Any caffeine in any drink has the same effect on the endorphins released by the brain. The amount of endorphins released is an individual response. Anything that has caffeine in it and is consumed by an individual will have an effect on the one that consumes it.
The amount of caffeine consumed has no effect on the BAL (Blood Alcohol Level) of the individual.
It will increase the individuals state of awareness and thus have an appearance of sobering up.
The BAL remains until the Liver and other tissues or organs in the body filter it out.
Tea is a source of caffeine.

the temperature of coffee won't affect the caffine levels, tea does contain caffine and the only thing which will make you sober up is time, no amount of caffine or any other substance will reduce the level of alcohol in your blood. You may think you are more sober, but you aren't so forget it, go to bed and sleep it off.
